What happens when striving ends… and alignment begins
The sun seems to be shining brighter, closer than ever before.
Or… maybe my eyes are just open more.
The tighter the squint to see, the less clarity.
Optometrists call it poor vision.
Society calls it unattractive.
The Bible calls it scales. Or blindness.
When what’s truly meant for you is ready to be revealed…
The squinting stops.
What felt like striving — the constant reaching, grasping, trying to “get there” —
Suddenly ends.
Some might call it surrender.
Some might say it’s giving up, or a dead end.
Society might call it deserved.
Employers might say it’s earned.
Spirit calls it attunement.
God calls it alignment.
Seeing becomes believing.
Believing becomes being.
Being becomes doing.
Doing becomes trust.
Trust becomes faith.
Faith becomes love.
Love becomes… us.
A final note:
I wrote this in the Notes app of my phone, late at night. I wasn’t sure whether to share it, but I’m trusting that if it speaks to you… then it’s meant for you.
If it does, hit reply. Or share it with someone who’s maybe — just maybe — ready to stop squinting.
